City networks
We participate in international exchange networks of a multitude of subjects
Madrid City Council is an active member of numerous international city networks and chair of several of them. The actions carried out with the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI), United Cities and Local Governments (CGLU), C40, and EUROCITIES are the most noteworthy, both for their level of activity and for the involvement of different Madrid City Council technical services. They are spaces for sharing experiences, innovative projects and best practices.
Within the United Cities and Local Governments Network (CGLU) structure is the METROPOLIS network, the world association of large cities and metropolitan areas, whose purpose is to share experiences and debate about issues impacting cities. Madrid is the Regional Secretariat for Europe.
We encourage you to get to know all the city networks in which Madrid participates.
