MADRID IS INTERNATIONAL

Last December 12, a delegation from the Bucharest City Council was received at Madrid City Hall. The delegation led by its Urban Planning Councilor, was made up of several councilors from Romania’s capital city and senior officials from the university of Bucharest. Their main interest was the current and future urban developments of Madrid, since Bucharest is currently involved in the launching of a new general urban plan.

They were received by Ms. Rocío Picón, Deputy Director General of International Relations with Cities and Countries, Mr. Ricardo Iglesias, Head of the External Relations Service and Ms. Cristina González, Head of the International Institutional Coordination Service, on behalf of the General Directorate of International Relations. 

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Cecilio Cerdán, Advisory Member of the Public Space Area, Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Sergio Barral, Head of Operation and Structures of Madrid Calle 30 and Mr. Javier Malo, architect of Estudio Porras e Isa, who carried out a presentation about the underground works on the M30 ring road and Madrid Río park.
