The National Police of Korea learns about the expertise of the Madrid Municipal Police
INTERNATIONALIZATION
Last December 4, a delegation from the Korean National Police (KNPA) was received at the Madrid Police General Headquarters. The Korean delegation was led by the Chief Commissioner of the financing section, Mr. Inhee Kim, and was also attended by Mr. Yongcheol Shin, Consul and Police Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
During the meeting, the General Director of the Municipal Police, Mr. Pablo Enriquez Rodríguez Pérez, answered several questions related to the structure, powers and operation of the municipal police, as well as the coordination with other State Security Corps and Forces, a topic in which they were very interested.
The Korean commissioner stressed that the method of the Madrid municipal police is a great example to continue working on the development of the autonomous police in Korea, which has been in force for two years.
The visit was also attended by its organizer, Mr. Ricardo Iglesias, Head of the External Relations Service, who recalled the agreement signed last 2022, between the mayors of Madrid and Seoul. Highlighting that cooperation with Seoul, and with South Korea in general, is a priority for the city of Madrid.
