Learn about the Next Generation Funds raised for Madrid
The Spanish government manages the distribution of NextGeneration EU Funds through calls for proposals aimed at final recipients and executing bodies, such as local organisations. In this case, Madrid City Council prepares the projects to be presented following the established guidelines, among them, the fulfilment of milestones and specific objectives to obtain the best conditions for these funds for the city of Madrid.
The NextGeneration funds obtained are complemented by additional municipal funding to allow the execution of the projects under the city of Madrid’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Madrid City Council, in turn, publishes calls for public tenders, grants and subsidies to execute the projects. This way, the European assistance reaches Madrid’s businesses, institutions and residents.
