A space to publish relevant information about projects and actions related to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the civil society groups in Madrid

Initiatives

  • Localisation by Madrid Neighbourhood Associations of initiatives to fulfill the 2030 Agenda SDGs

    Partnering directly to achieve one or more SDGs affecting improved quality of life for the people of Madrid, driven by the Neighbourhood Associations. Sponsored by the Madrid City Council and implemented by the NGODs (Non-Governmental Organisations for Development) network, part of the Construyendo barrios 2030 (Building Neighbourhoods 2030) programme.

  • Participatory urban processes for the fulfillment of SDG 7: an analysis from global citizenship in Europe and Spain.

    This project by the Tomillo Foundation seeks to recognise socially innovative and cooperative solutions to all the obstacles involved in achieving SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy. It also focuses on creating local policies with a global approach, some of which have already been implemented for a fairer, more ecological and democratic energy transition.

  • Research on 2030 Agenda Implementation by Madrid Businesses

    A project promoted by the Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad (Club of Excellence in Sustainability) and Ernst & Young (EYG), with the support of the Confederación Empresarial de Madrid - CEOE (Madrid Business Confederation). It intends the implementation and dissemination of the Sustainable Development Goals, investigates the level of application by Madrid’s private sector and makes recommendations that can serve as a reference for suggestions for activities by the Observatorio de los ODS en la Empresa Madrileña (Madrid Business SDG Observatory).

  • University and City: identifying the best experiences of localisation of the 2030 Agenda

    Research that focuses on localisation initiatives for the 2030 Agenda whose characteristics must combine: connection to local public policies (following regional and national ones), access for any number of participants within the action’s area, and priority for the scalability of the solutions to larger contexts beyond the initiative itself.
