The Madrid City Urban Agenda Action Plan is a broad strategy that aims to give coherence across all parts of the city’s government and public policies. It also integrates with the Spanish Urban Agenda Goals and the European and United Nations Agendas.

The City of Madrid obtained funding from Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (Next Generation EU Funding) to run the pilot project for the Madrid City Urban Agenda Local Action Plan.

The results of the work approved by the Government Bord of the City on September 8th, 2022. can be found in the downloadable Urban Agenda Plan: Next Generation EU Funds - Grants for running pilot projects for local action plans under the Spanish Urban Agenda - Madrid City Council.

Objectives

The objectives cover all urban aspects and areas in Spain, ranging from the city model to population and regions. They include the economy and society, the environment, climate change and energy, mobility, housing and instruments for intervention.
